For families caring for a parent

Who's driving Mom on Tuesday?

Marlow gives your family one schedule to sort it out, and gives Mom one screen that shows when to be ready and who's coming.

Your schedule behind. Her day in front.

Why we built it

The people who love her are the best people to look after her.

Usually it goes like this. One of you, the one who lives closest, ends up doing all of it. The rest of the family wants to help and doesn't know how. And Mom gets handed a calendar app she can't use, so she sits by the door not sure who's coming. Looking after a parent shouldn't land on one person, and it should never land on the parent. The family just needs a way to do it together. That's Marlow.

Meet Marlow

Two screens. One for the family, one for your parent.

For the family

Shares the load.

One schedule everyone can see. An appointment says “needs a driver” until somebody takes it in one tap. Anyone in the family can add or claim, so nothing waits on one person.

For your parent

Asks nothing.

One screen that shows their day: when to be ready, who's coming, where they're going. No login, no buttons that matter, nothing they can get wrong.

Promises

What we promise.

We decided these early, and we're keeping them.

  • Your mom never has to log in, learn anything, or find the right button.
  • When someone says they'll drive, that's it. Nobody has to confirm it twice.
  • Your brother, the neighbor, your kid at college. Anyone who wants to help can, and it costs nothing to add them.
  • You read it in English. She reads it in Spanish. Same appointment.
  • We don't track you, we don't run ads, and we don't sell anything about your family.
  • We never tell her something that isn't true. If nobody's claimed the ride yet, she's told Marlow is working on it, because we are.

Your side

Everything the family needs, in one place.

See what still needs a driver, at a glance.

Every appointment shows whether someone's got it. Orange means nobody yet. Green means it's handled, with a name on it.

Take a ride in one tap.

Tap “I'll take this” and it's yours. Everyone sees it, your parent's told, and nobody has to confirm anything.

Add it once. There and back.

A round trip is one appointment with two legs. Physical therapy every Tuesday is one entry, not fifty-two.

Know when she's been picked up.

Set off, arrived, home again. You find out as it happens, even from three states away.

It goes in your own calendar.

A ride you claim shows up in Google, Apple or Outlook. If it clashes with something, Marlow tells you before you commit.

Anyone in the family can help.

Siblings, a neighbor, a grandkid. No limit on how many, no charge for adding them, and everyone can add or claim.

No login. No password. Nothing to learn.

You pair their phone once by pointing it at a code on your screen. From then on it just shows their day.

Big text, in their language.

Starts at 20px and follows their text-size setting. English, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi or French, whatever you use yourself.

One tap at most.

No swiping, no menus, no calendar grid. A list of today, in order, and a line at the end saying that's everything.

They can't delete Tuesday.

Their phone can read the schedule and nothing else. The server enforces it, so there's no wrong button to press.

Privacy

Your parent's address and schedule stay in your circle.

No analytics, no trackers, no ads. Marlow doesn't know where anyone is, only the addresses somebody typed in. Nothing about your family is sold or shared with anyone.

The privacy policy, in plain words →

  • No location tracking It only knows the addresses somebody typed in. It never knows where anyone actually is.
  • Nothing measures you No analytics, no crash reports, no third party inside the app at all.
  • Your circle only Every record is locked to your circle at the database, and we test that by trying to read another family's data and making sure it fails.

Who it's for

Anyone helping look after someone they love.

The daughter who lives closest and ends up doing most of it. The brother three states away who wants to help but can't drive. The grandkid at college, the neighbor who checks in, the friend from church. If you're part of someone's care, in a big way or a small one, Marlow is for you.

And it's for the person being looked after. If Google Calendar, a group chat or a phone full of apps is more than your mom wants to deal with, her side of Marlow has nothing to learn and nothing to get wrong. That's the point of it.
